Over the past two years, consumers have enjoyed wider availability of cold-pressed juice – fresh juice that has been processed using high-pressure processing (HPP), instead of traditional heat-based pasteurization. In this segment, Innovations will educate viewers on how True Fresh HPP employs this preservative-free cold processing method by subjecting fresh juices to high pressure (87,000 psi) to achieve necessary log reductions.
Viewers will learn about the highly valued nutrients that are preserved by processing without heat, and why the process is ideal for adding shelf life to cold pressed juice.
