San Mateo, CA—Project Ninety announced that they will be featured in an upcoming episode of Innovations with Ed Begley Jr, airing later this year 2014, via Discovery Channel. Dates and show times TBA.
For more than four decades, Project Ninety, Inc. has served individuals, families and the Bay Area community through its residential alcohol and substance abuse treatment services.
In this episode, Innovations will educate on Project Ninety’s humble idea and how it has grown into a premier human services organization with over 200 treatment beds. Viewers will learn their innovative approach goes beyond typical 28-day treatment programs in order to establish sober living skills. Project 90 is a California Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) licensed, nonprofit residential substance abuse treatment program with facilities in two Northern California counties (Santa Clara and San Mateo).
“Project Ninety provides low cost effective recovery services to those in need of help from substance abuse problems. We provide services to adult men and women whose circumstances are varied. We’ve treated over 20,000 individuals, with an addiction to substances in common, regardless of their socioeconomic position, race, cultural background, education, age, or life experience. We look forward to having our story told in the Innovations program,” said James H. Stansberry, Executive Director of Project Ninety.
“Project Ninety patients might be homeless, poorly educated, unemployable or have limited language skills,” said Michele Nehls, producer for the series. “The program seeks to help all types of people, and I look forward to educating audiences about how they succeed with a population that is often difficult to help.”
