Exploring recent advances in science and technology.

Jupiter, FL— DMG Productions is proud to announce that LexaGene, Inc. (LexaGene) will be featured in an upcoming episode of Innovations with Ed Begley Jr., airing third quarter 2017 on FOX Business.

This segment of Innovations will feature LexaGene; a biotechnology company developing a fully automated pathogen detection platform for use at the site of sample collection. Viewers will learn about the systems’ unprecedented ease-of-use, sensitivity, and breadth of pathogen detection.

“We are very honored that DMG Productions has chosen to feature LexaGene on Innovations with Ed Begley Jr. We look forward to showcasing our technology, which makes performing highly technical diagnostics simple,” said Dr. Jack Regan, LexaGene’s Founder and CEO.

The show will educate audiences on the ability of LexaGene’s automated instrument to detect multiple pathogens with sensitivity and specificity. In addition, audiences will learn how, with open access and low costs, users can load standard pathogen-specific assays onto the instrument for customized testing quickly and easily, without the need to involve a scientist.

“LexaGene’s technology aims to transform the way organizations prevent and diagnose disease in multi-billion dollar markets, such as food safety, veterinary diagnostics, water quality monitoring, aquaculture pathogen surveillance, and more,” said Michele Nehls, Producer for the series. “We look forward to highlighting this technology.”

About LexaGene:
LexaGene is a biotechnology company developing the very first fully automated pathogen detection platform that is open-access.  The open-access feature will empower end-users to target any pathogen of interest, as they can load their own real-time PCR assays onto the instrument for customized pathogen detection.  End-users simply need to collect a sample, load it onto the instrument with a sample preparation cartridge, and press ‘go’. The instrument is expected to offer excellent sensitivity, specificity, and breadth of pathogen detection.  The instrument will be able to process six samples at a time, in an on-demand fashion, returning results in about 1 hour.  The company expects to sell its technology in the food safety, veterinary diagnostics, water quality monitoring, and aquaculture pathogen surveillance markets. For more information, visit: www.lexagene.com.
