Showcasing Tissue Regenix Group PLC on Upcoming Episode of Innovations TV Series

DMG Productions uncovers the latest advancements in regenerative medicine and cardiac treatments.

York, England —Tissue Regenix Group (TRG), announced today that it will be featured in an upcoming episode of Innovations with Ed Begley Jr., airing via Discovery Channel 1st QT 2016. Dates and show times TBA.

Tissue Regenix Group (TRG) is a pioneering, international medical technology company, leading the development of a range of regenerative products to make specialized replacement tissue using biological (human & animal) materials.

In this segment, Innovations will explore Tissue Regenix’s dCELL® technology, a process that takes animal and human tissue and removes the cells, leaving intact an acellular scaffold that can be implanted into the body. Tissues treated with the dCELL® process deliver a highly biocompatible product removing the risk of rejection by the patient’s body, and allowing like for like tissue to be regenerated.

Viewers will learn about this unique technology and a cardiac project in Brazil in which over 1400 patients, among them 500 children to date, have benefitted from the dCELL® heart valve implant.

“We are very excited to share the dCELL® story with the Innovations viewers. With the changing needs and expectations of an increasing and aging population, dCELL® has the potential to change the landscape of modern medicine and address these growing unmet clinical needs. The dCELL® technology platform allows a new regenerative approach to the treatment of conditions such as heart valve disease and chronic woundcare, by eliminating the risk of rejection it allows the patient to return to a normal quality of life. We are still at an early stage investigating the full clinical potential of this technology, and the next decade will almost certainly see new applications developed,” said Antony Odell, CEO, Tissue Regenix Group.

“Tissue Regenix applies this technology to heart valves for the treatment of pediatric heart valve disease, which is a major problem in regions such as Brazil,” said Michele Nehls, Producer for the Innovations TV series. “This treatment has major benefits to the patient. We look forward to educating our audiences about this groundbreaking new technology.”
